Overview
The Inventory tab in a storage account includes a tag filter that narrows the item list to only the items carrying the tags you select. It works alongside your other inventory filters, so you can combine it with the search, status, room, and container filters at the same time.
Before You Start
Available to accounts using SmartMoving Storage. Requires admin role.
The tag filter appears on the Inventory tab only when at least one item in the storage account carries a tag. Apply tags to your items first so the filter has tags to display.
How To Do It
Open the storage account and select the Inventory tab. The inventory list loads.
Find the All Tags filter in the filter row above the list. It sits alongside the All Statuses, All Rooms, and All Containers filters.
Click All Tags to open the list of tags. Each tag appears as a checkbox.
Check one or more tags. The list updates to show every item that carries any of the tags you selected.
To include items that have no tags, check Untagged. The list adds those items to the results.
To clear the filter, reopen the tag filter and uncheck your selections. The full inventory list returns.
Note: The button label reflects your selection. With nothing selected it reads All Tags. After you select tags it shows the count, such as 2 Tags. The Untagged option is not included in that count.
Note: The tag filter lists the tags that are present on the items in this storage account, sorted alphabetically. Tags that are not applied to any item in the account do not appear in the list.
Best Practices
Tag items consistently (for example, "Needs Repair") so a single tag filter surfaces the full group you want to act on.
Combine the tag filter with the status, room, or container filters to narrow a large inventory quickly.
Switch between List and Gallery view without losing your filter. Your tag selection stays applied across both views.
Use the Untagged option to find items that still need to be categorized.
Troubleshooting
I do not see the tag filter. The tag filter appears only when items in the storage account carry tags. Apply at least one tag to an item, then reload the Inventory tab.
My filter shows more items than I expected. The tag filter uses "any" logic. When you select more than one tag, the list shows items that carry any of those tags, rather than only items that carry all of them.
My filter cleared after I refreshed the page. The tag filter stays applied for your current session as you move between views and screens. Reloading the page in your browser resets the filters. Reapply the tags to continue.
