How to Enable Online Invoice Payments in the Customer Portal

Enable online invoice payments in SmartMoving by adding a “Pay Your Invoice” button to your invoice email template. Customers can then view, download, and securely pay invoices through the Customer Portal.

Customers can view, download, and pay invoices through the Customer Portal. To allow full online invoice payments, you must add a payment button to your invoice email template.


Add the “Pay Your Invoice” Button

Step 1: Edit the Invoice Email Template

  1. Navigate to Settings

  2. Select Communication

  3. In the After Job section, open the Send Invoice template


Step 2: Insert the Payment Button

  1. In the Email Editor panel, click the Button icon (pointing hand icon)

  2. Select Pay Your Invoice

This inserts a secure payment link into the email.


Step 3: Preview and Save

  1. Click the Preview tab to review the email layout

  2. Make adjustments if needed

  3. Click Save Changes

Once saved, customers who receive this invoice email will be able to:

  • View their invoice

  • Download a copy

  • Submit payment securely through the Customer Portal
