Overview

SmartMoving lets you set a minimum estimate amount that must be met before e-check appears as a payment option. When this rule is active, e-check is only available for jobs where the estimated total meets or exceeds the configured minimum. This gives your company control over when e-check payments are available based on job value.

Before You Start

  • Admin-level access is required to configure e-check settings.

How To Set a Minimum Estimate Amount

  1. Go to Settings > Accounting & Profitability > E-checks.

  2. Locate the Minimum Estimate Amount section at the top of the page.

  3. Toggle the rule On to enable it.

  4. Enter the minimum dollar amount in the currency input field.

  5. Save your changes. E-check will only appear as a payment option for jobs where the estimated total meets or exceeds this amount.

To disable the rule, toggle it Off. The currency input field becomes grayed out and the rule does not apply.

πŸ’‘ SmartTip: The minimum amount rule applies in addition to service type and platform eligibility rules. E-check is available only when all conditions are met.

See Controlling E-Check Availability by Service Type to review how service type settings interact with this rule.

Key Details

  • If a job's estimate is updated and falls below the minimum, e-check is immediately removed as a payment option on all platforms.

  • If a job's estimate increases above the minimum, e-check becomes available again (assuming other eligibility rules are also met).

  • The rule applies across the Customer Portal, Web App, and Crew App.

  • The minimum estimate amount is saved at the company level and persists across sessions.

  • When the toggle is off, the currency field is disabled and no minimum applies.

Troubleshooting

E-check disappeared from the payment options

If a job's estimated total dropped below the configured minimum, e-check is automatically removed. Check the estimate total and compare it to the minimum amount configured in Settings > Accounting & Profitability > E-checks.
