You can set up the commissions that your sales team earns, and each salesperson can be set up to receive different rates as desired.

How to Set Sales Commissions

Navigate to Settings -> Company Settings -> User Management or click here to go directly to the page.

First, select the user for whom you wish to adjust their commission.

Next, select the Commission tab.

Then, select the commission type:

  • Invoice Subtotal: Commission is paid based on the subtotal of the total invoice. This amount doesn't include the tax or tip amounts. If you have chosen to pay your commissions on the pre-discount amounts, then the amount will be before discounts. Otherwise, the amount will be after discounts.

  • Custom: Commission is paid based on specific fees.

Setting Invoice Subtotal Commissions

Enter a commission rate for any or all of the following fields:

  • Local Move: rate earned for local moves.

  • Intrastate Move: rate earned for moves within the state.

  • Interstate Move: rate earned for moves outside of the state.

  • Job Done By Agent: rate paid to the salesperson when they also complete their own estimate.

  • Visual Estimate: rate paid to both the estimator and salesperson when there is a separate estimator. To pay commission on surveys, go to Settings > Accounting > Common and activate the toggle before entering a rate in this field.

Setting Custom Commissions

Use the custom options to select which fees to pay commission on. Turn on the toggle for the options you wish to pay commission for and select the rate.

These rates are not calculated based on the job total—the commission will be based on individual charges. You can set commissions for any of the following:

  • Labor

  • Materials

  • Services

  • Valuation

  • Trip Fees

  • Truck Fees

  • Fuel Surcharge Fees

  • Travel Time Fees

  • Prepaid Storage

  • Warehouse Handling

  • Other Fees
