By default, SmartMoving will calculate commissions when a job is completed for the primary salesperson. You can also choose to pay commissions to the person that performed an associated on-site, virtual, or phone survey.

Enabling Commissions for Surveys

First, enable the "Pay commission on survey" setting in your Accounting > Common settings:

Next, ensure that commission rates are configured for your sales staff. You can adjust the commission rates for each user by going to your Company > User Management settings, then editing a user.

Adding Surveys to an Estimate

You can add a survey to an estimate from the estimate editor. This article describes the process in detail.

How are Commissions Calculated for Someone Performing a Survey?

SmartMoving will automatically add the associated surveyor to the job in accounting. Their commission will be calculated based on their configured sales commission settings.

If the primary salesperson also performs the survey, they will only receive their normal sales commission. They will not receive additional commission for also performing the survey.

You can track your booking percentages by survey type using the Booking Percent by Survey Type report.
