How to complete a pre-move inventory survey from the Pre-Move Survey Application

Our offline-capable Pre-Move Survey Application makes completing your inventory surveys a breeze. Learn about the steps to completing an inventory survey from the application below.

Note: The Pre-Move Survey Application only supports SmartMoving 2.0 opportunities. A SmartMoving version 1 opportunity's survey will not populate on the Pre-Move Survey Application.

How to Complete a Pre-Move Inventory Survey

Step 1: Select the survey that you are going to complete from your surveys list.

Step 2: Click Start Inventory.

Step 3: Select the first room that you will be inventorying from the room list.

Step 4: Click + Add Items.

Step 5: Search by name or by shortcode for the item being added to this room's inventory.

Step 6: Enter the amount that is going or not going for that item.

Step 7: Repeat this process for all items that are in this room.

Step 8: Click Back to Inventory to return to the room list.


Step 9: Select the next room that you will be inventorying and repeat this process until the inventory has been completed.

Step 10: Once ready to upload the survey to the SmartMoving web application, select, Pending Changes.

Step 11: From the Sync Status page, you can either manually select to sync the data and photos for each survey or select Start Upload. By selecting Start Upload, the application will sync all of the data and all of the photos that have not been synced to SmartMoving yet.
