Smart Reputation Overview Dashboard and Analytics

Learn how to read the Smart Reputation Overview in SmartMoving: your Reputation Rank, weekly Action Items, review response tracking, and social, crew, affiliate, and listings summaries.

Written by Michelle Carone

The Smart Reputation Overview brings your company's online reputation onto one page: where you rank in Google local search, which reviews need replies, and what to work on this week.

Available on all plans. Accounts with a Smart Reputation subscription see the full dashboard. Accounts without one see a limited version, described at the end of this article.

How To Open the Smart Reputation Overview

  1. Navigate to Smart Reputation in the left menu.

  2. Select Overview.

The dashboard loads with your current reputation data. If your account has more than one branch, a branch dropdown appears at the top of the page, set to All branches.

Reputation Rank and ROI

The two tiles in the top left corner of the Smart Reputation Overview summarize your standing in local search.

Reputation Rank is your average position in Google local search results for moving company searches in your area.

  • Lower is better: rank 1 is the top of the results.

  • The arrow next to the rank compares this week against last week. An up arrow means your rank improved and you moved closer to the top. If your rank has not changed since last week, no arrow is shown.

  • 20+ means your company is ranking outside the top 20.

  • If no rank data is available yet, the tile shows a Connect Platforms link. Connect your Google Business Profile under Settings > Smart Reputation > Manage Accounts to start tracking your rank.

ROI shows your return on investment for the current month. ROI is calculated once marketing spend has been loaded for the period. When no marketing spend is available, this tile shows Local Presence instead: the share of your local search area where your company ranks in the top 3.

Action Items

Action Items are four recommendations for the current week, ranked by impact on your rating and rank.

  • Each Action Item names a specific SmartMoving setting or feature to work on. Click a card to read the full explanation.

  • Action Items refresh once a week and stay the same on screen until the next set is generated. The same four arrive in the Smart Reputation weekly report email each Monday.

  • Action Items are generated from your own account's settings and recent performance, so they are different for every company and every week.

  • Action Items cover your whole company, so they stay the same when you filter the dashboard by branch.

  • When there is nothing to act on, the tile shows All caught up.

Reputation Rank History and Rating Distribution

The second row of the Smart Reputation Overview appears once a Google Business Profile is connected for the selected branch.

Reputation Rank History is a map of your search ranking for moving company searches across your service area, updated weekly:

  • Green: Strong Area Presence (rank 1 to 3)

  • Yellow: Moderate Presence (rank 4 to 7)

  • Red: Low Engagement (rank 8 to 20)

  • Gray: Unranked (20+)

Weekly Rank History

Charts your last 4 weekly ranks as a line, so a rising line means an improving rank. Hover over a point to see the week and the rank. The chart still renders with fewer than 4 weeks of data.

Rating Distribution

Shows the public reviews you received from Google and Facebook in the last 30 days, broken out by star rating from 5 stars down to 1. Hover over a bar to see the count. Star ratings with no reviews appear dimmed.

Review Activity

The third row of the Smart Reputation Overview tracks your reviews and replies over the last 30 days.

Review Responses

Shows how you are keeping up with replies:

  • Avg Response Time: how quickly your company replies to reviews. Under one hour it shows minutes, between 1 and 48 hours it shows hours, and beyond 48 hours it shows 48 Hours +.

  • Response Rate: the share of your last 30 days of public reviews that received a reply, rounded to the nearest whole number.

  • The Replies Needed tab opens by default and lists reviews from the last 30 days that have no response yet, newest first. The Auto-Replied tab lists reviews your automated replies handled in the same period. Each tab shows its count and lists up to 10 reviews.

  • Click View Inbox to open the full review inbox and reply.

Total reviews over time

Charts your review volume, with a toggle to view it by week or by month.

Reviews by Sentiment

Splits your last 30 days of reviews into positive, neutral, and negative. Below the chart, the Last Week Summary describes your average rating and the themes customers mention most often. The summary covers your whole company.

Social, Crew, Affiliates, and Listings

The four tiles across the bottom of the Smart Reputation Overview summarize the last 30 days. Each tile keeps a fixed height, so a long list scrolls inside the tile, and each tile links to its full view.

  • Social Postings: posts published in the last 30 days, the percentage change against the previous 30 days, and posts scheduled. Each connected platform is listed with its post count and its posts scheduled for the coming week; platforms you have not connected do not appear. Click View All to manage posts.

  • Crew Scoreboard: your crew average rating and the number of reviews tagged to a crew member, followed by your top 5 crew members ranked by average rating. Crew members with no reviews are left out, and a tie ranks the crew member with more reviews higher. Click Full board for every crew member's numbers.

  • Affiliates: affiliate leads and total revenue from affiliate-sourced jobs, followed by your top 5 affiliates ranked by leads generated. Click View All to manage affiliates.

  • Listings: how many directory listings you track and your overall accuracy percentage, followed by each connected platform with its current status: Live, Listing Data Submitted, In Progress, or Disconnected. Click View All for the full listings analysis.

How To Filter the Overview by Branch

Accounts with a Smart Reputation subscription and more than one branch can focus the dashboard on a single location.

  1. Locate the branch dropdown at the top of the Overview page.

  2. Select a branch from the list.

  3. Wait a moment while the dashboard refreshes.

Every tile updates to the selected branch's data. To return to company-wide data, select All branches.

Note: Action Items and Affiliates cover your whole company, so those two tiles stay the same whichever branch is selected. The Last Week Summary under Reviews by Sentiment is also written for your whole company.

Note: Opportunities, leads, and reviews not assigned to a branch are excluded from a single-branch view. Select All branches to include all records.

Note: If the selected branch does not have a Google Business Profile connected, the rank tiles show a connect prompt and the Reputation Rank History row is hidden for that branch.

If a Widget Is Empty or Still Loading

While the Smart Reputation Overview loads, each widget shows a placeholder shaped like its finished content, and widgets appear as their data arrives. One slow widget does not hold up the rest of the page.

A widget with no data to show explains why it is empty and, where it applies, links to the action that fills it, such as connecting a social account or adding an affiliate. An empty widget looks different from one that is still loading, so you can tell the two apart.

The Overview Without a Smart Reputation Subscription

Accounts without a Smart Reputation subscription see a version of the Overview built from reviews collected through SmartMoving:

  • Internal Average Rating: the average rating from reviews collected through SmartMoving.

  • Rating Distribution: those internal ratings broken down by star rating.

  • Total reviews over time: review volume from SmartMoving reviews, with the same week or month toggle.

  • Crew Scoreboard and Affiliates: your top 5 crew members and top 5 affiliates, as described above.

  • Reputation Impact Map: shown locked. The map, Google review tracking, rank tracking, and the branch filter are part of the Smart Reputation subscription.

Key Details

  • Rank data comes from your Google Business Profile. Connect it under Settings > Smart Reputation > Manage Accounts.

  • The Reputation Rank History map and Weekly Rank History update once a week.

  • Rating Distribution, Review Responses, Reviews by Sentiment, Social Postings, Crew Scoreboard, and Affiliates each cover the last 30 days.

  • Action Items and the Smart Reputation weekly report email share the same weekly set of recommendations.

Best Practices

  • Check the Overview at the start of each week, when Action Items and the rank map refresh.

  • Start with All branches for a company-wide read, then filter to a branch when a number needs a closer look.

  • Work the Replies Needed tab down to zero: response rate and response time both feed your online reputation.

  • Watch the trend arrow on Reputation Rank rather than a single week's number.
