Overview
SmartMoving lets you choose which portals accept debit card payments. You can independently turn debit card on or off for the Customer Portal, Web App, and Crew App, giving you control over where this payment method appears for your team and customers.
Debit card payments do not incur a credit card processing fee. For details on accepting debit card payments, see Accepting Debit Card Payments.
When debit card is disabled for a portal, it does not appear as a payment option anywhere in that portal, including on storage account payments.
Before You Start
You need access to Settings > Accounting & Profitability to change these options.
How to Configure Debit Card Payments by Portal
From the main navigation, go to Settings.
Select Accounting & Profitability.
Click Debit Card. The Debit Card settings page opens.
In the payment methods table, locate the Debit Card row. Three checkboxes control which portals offer debit card as a payment option: Customer Portal, Web App, and Crew App.
Check the box for each portal where you want debit card available. Uncheck the box for any portal where you want to remove it.
Save your changes. Each portal immediately reflects your updated selections.
Key Details
Each portal is controlled independently. You can enable debit card on some portals while disabling it on others.
When debit card is disabled for a portal, it will not appear as a payment option in that portal, including on storage account payments made through that portal.
Disabling debit card for a portal does not affect other payment methods or existing transactions.
Debit card payments do not incur a credit card processing fee, making them a lower-cost option compared to credit card payments.
