Overview
TOB-E answers questions about your moving business in plain language. Instead of clicking through reports to find a number, you can ask TOB-E and get the answer in seconds.
TOB-E answers two kinds of questions:
Questions about your business. Every answer is backed by your real SmartMoving data. TOB-E does not make up numbers. When data is sparse, TOB-E says so and shows you what it can see.
Questions about how to use SmartMoving. Ask a "how do I" question and TOB-E pulls the answer from the SmartMoving help center, right in the chat.
Why Q&A Matters
Owners spend time hunting for data. Pulling reports, switching tabs, exporting to spreadsheets, all to answer a question you could ask in one sentence.
TOB-E replaces that with a question. "How are we tracking this month?" gets you a real answer from your real numbers in seconds. "What follow-ups are overdue?" gives you the list, ready to act on.
It also replaces hunting for documentation. Instead of leaving SmartMoving to search the help center, ask TOB-E "how do I" and get the relevant article in the chat.
When you can ask instead of dig, you check on the business more often and catch problems sooner.
Before You Start
TOB-E chat is available to account owners and to any team member an owner has turned on TOB-E for in Settings → Company Settings → User Management.
Your data must be entered in SmartMoving for TOB-E to find it.
How To Do It
Ask a question
Open TOB-E from the main navigation.
Click the chat input at the bottom of the panel.
Type your question in plain language.
Press Enter. TOB-E responds in the chat.
Drill down on an answer
After any response, ask for more detail. For example, after "How many jobs today?" ask "Give me the details." TOB-E breaks the summary into a full list.
Example questions you can ask
What you want to know | Try asking |
Today's schedule | "How many jobs today?" |
Upcoming schedule | "What's on the schedule Thursday?" |
Calendar and events | "What's on the calendar this week?" |
Crew confirmations | "Have all crews confirmed for tomorrow?" |
Crew availability | "Who's on vacation next week?" |
Crew roster | "Who's on the foreman roster?" |
Fleet status | "How many trucks are out today?" |
Booking performance | "What's our booking rate this month?" |
Revenue tracking | "How are we tracking vs last month?" |
Payments | "How much did we collect this week?" |
Outstanding payments | "What payments are still outstanding?" |
Sales pipeline | "How many open leads do we have?" |
Lead source performance | "Which lead sources are performing best?" |
Follow-ups | "What follow-ups are overdue?" |
How to use SmartMoving | "How do I set up dispatch in SmartMoving?" |
Note: Fleet and crew answers reflect the current data for your branch. When an answer references a specific job, truck, or crew member, TOB-E includes a link so you can open that record directly.
Ask TOB-E to send customer confirmations
TOB-E can send or resend a customer confirmation for a job. TOB-E sends by email and SMS to the contacts on file for the job, the same way confirmations are sent from the Customer Confirmation tab in the Dispatch module.
Ask TOB-E to send or resend a customer confirmation for a specific job. For example, "Resend the customer confirmation for tomorrow's job."
Review the summary TOB-E shows of what will be sent.
Confirm to send. TOB-E always asks before it sends anything.
If a contact has no email or phone number on file for a channel, TOB-E skips that channel and tells you it could not send there.
Note: Sending a confirmation request does not mark the job confirmed. The job is confirmed when the customer confirms the move from the link, or when you mark it confirmed in the Customer Confirmation tab in the Dispatch module.

Best Practices
Use plain language. "How many jobs today?" works. You do not need report names or filter syntax.
Ask one question at a time. TOB-E handles follow-ups, so you can keep the conversation going.
Start a new conversation when you change topics. This keeps earlier questions from affecting the answer.
Ask TOB-E "how do I" questions before searching the help center yourself. The answer comes back in the chat.
If you do not get the answer you expected, rephrase the question or ask "What data are you using?"
Use the Morning Briefing to triage your day and address the items TOB-E has flagged. Use chat for deeper questions and one-off lookups.
Troubleshooting
TOB-E says it cannot answer that. TOB-E supports a defined set of question categories. If your question is outside the scope, TOB-E will say so instead of guessing.
The answer is wrong. Send a thumbs down with a comment. Then verify the underlying record in SmartMoving.
TOB-E suggests an action but cannot do it. TOB-E points you to the right page in SmartMoving. You take the action there.
