Key Details
The Electronic Records and Signatures Disclosure cannot be saved empty while Require electronic signature agreement is on. Load a template or enter your own wording before saving.
Apply Template replaces the current disclosure text. Copy anything you want to keep before applying a template.
Turning the requirement off leaves your saved disclosure text in place. Turning it back on restores the same text.
A contact accepts the agreement once. The acceptance is recorded against the contact with a timestamp, so they are not asked again for each document.
On the signing screen the contact ticks I Agree to Electronic Records and Signatures before Finish becomes available.
This setting applies to documents in the Commercial Customer Portal. It does not change signature behavior in the residential customer portal or the Crew App.
Best Practices
Have your legal or compliance contact review the disclosure wording before you turn the requirement on.
Start from a template rather than an empty editor, then edit the parts specific to your company.
Turn the requirement on before sending your first document for signature, so every signature is captured under the same agreement.
