Editing Stop Addresses and Adding Additional Stops in the Pre-Move Survey App

Surveyors often encounter situations where a customer’s stop information changes or new stops need to be added during the pre-move survey. The Pre-Move Survey App makes it easy to update addresses and add stops directly, ensuring estimates and move plans remain accurate.

This helps you:

Capture accurate estimates during the first survey

Work more efficiently without extra follow-up calls

Provide a better customer experience with complete, up-to-date move plans


What You Can Do

With the Pre-Move Survey App, you can:

  • Edit existing stop addresses including pickup and drop-off details.

  • Add new stops to a move while completing the survey.

Important: Changes made in the app do not update the customer’s opportunity until you sync the survey data back to the web app and rerate the opportunity.

Apply your changes to the opportunity

  1. Sync the survey from the Pre-Move Survey App to SmartMoving (web).

  2. In SmartMoving (web), open the opportunity you updated.

  3. Rerate the opportunity to recalculate pricing, time, and resources based on the new stops/addresses.

After syncing and rerating, the opportunity reflects the updated stop details. This improves data accuracy and ensures estimates/pricing align with the latest survey info.


Editing an Existing Stop

  1. On the survey overview screen, locate the Stops section.

  2. Tap the menu icon next to the stop you’d like to edit.

    1. Select Edit Stop from the menu.

  3. The Edit Stop form will open, where you can update:

    1. Stop type (Pick-up or Drop-off)

    2. Address details (postal code, city, state, street address)

    3. Property details (name, unit number, type, parking type)

    4. Accessibility information (stairs, walk distance, elevator, or additional handicaps)

  4. Make your changes and tap Save Changes.

Note:

Once saved, your updates will display in the stop list.


Adding a New Stop

  1. From the survey overview screen, scroll to the Stops section.

  2. Tap Add Stop.

  3. The Add Stop form will open.

    1. Enter complete details for the new stop, just as you would when editing a stop.

  4. Tap Add Stop to confirm.

    1. The new stop is immediately added to the survey and linked to the opportunity.


Online and Offline Use

  • Online: The app uses real-time address suggestions and validation.

  • Offline: You can still edit and add stops without an internet connection. Updates are stored locally and synced when you reconnect.
