The Can View Opportunity Documents permission controls whether crew members can access documents uploaded to an opportunity while using the Crew App.
When this permission is enabled, documents uploaded in SmartMoving appear alongside photos in the Media tab for a job.
Media Tab Overview
When this permission is enabled, crew members can access documents from the Media tab on an opportunity.
Switching Between Photos and Documents
Within the Media tab, crew members can switch between Photos and Documents using the toggle at the top of the screen.
Viewing Documents
When a document is selected, it opens directly within the Crew App.
Documents do not need to be downloaded to the device to be viewed.
Supported document types are the same as those supported in the SmartMoving web app, including PDFs, spreadsheets, and Word documents.
Filtering Photos in the Media Tab
Crew members can filter photos by category, such as Customer, Survey, or Claims, using the All Photos dropdown.
If the Permission Is Not Enabled
If Can View Opportunity Documents is not enabled for a crew role:
The Media tab will still appear due to a UI update
Photos will remain accessible
Documents will not be visible or accessible
This ensures crews only see documents when explicitly permitted by an admin.
