How to delete an opportunity in SmartMoving

There may be occasions where it is necessary to delete an opportunity (estimate) that has been created for a customer. Provided that you have the proper permissions outlined below, opportunities can be permanently deleted from your system and will no longer be reflected in any system reports or metrics.

Important: This operation cannot be undone

Setting Permissions for Who Can Delete Opportunities

Navigate to Settings > Company Settings > Roles and Permissions (or click here to go directly to the page).

Under the Actions section in the Delete Opportunity row, select the roles that you wish to grant the ability to delete customers.

Deleting an Opportunity

Navigate to Customers (or click here to go directly to the page) and select the name of the applicable customer, then the desired job number you wish to delete.

  1. Open an opportunity and click the Sales tab.

  2. Click the drop-down menu next to the smart action button and click Delete.

3. In the pop-up window, enter the customer's name to confirm that you wish to delete the opportunity, and click Yes, Proceed.

IMPORTANT: Once deleted, the opportunity will be permanently and irreversibly erased.
