Updated this week

We’ve updated the Settings navigation to make it easier to access, understand, and configure the tools your team uses every day. This update includes a new search bar, reorganized categories, combined sections, and a structure built to support future enhancements.

Overview of What’s New

  • A brand-new search bar at the top of Settings

  • Clearer and more consistent grouping of related settings

  • Combined settings where functionality naturally fits together

  • Newly added categories to better organize expanding features

  • A reorganized Tariff section with a more structured hierarchy

These changes help streamline setup, simplify navigation, and provide a consistent experience for all users, whether your team is learning the system for the first time or configuring advanced pricing and automation rules.

1. NEW: Global Settings Search

A search bar now appears at the top of the Settings page. You can type in any keyword (like “tariff,” “valuation,” or “permissions”) and jump directly to the setting you need.

What this adds

  • Quick access to any setting from one place

  • Support for partial matches and flexible keyword searching

  • Direct links that take you straight to the setting

  • Faster navigation during daily use and system configuration

This is the fastest way to navigate Settings and works across all categories and subsections.

2. Updated Settings Navigation Structure

We reorganized the entire Settings menu to group related items together and merge categories with overlapping functionality. This creates a cleaner, more predictable structure.

Key structural updates

  • Estimate Lists and Estimate Settings are now combined into a single Estimates section

  • Quote Form settings are now part of Forms & Documents

  • The former Communication category has been retired

    • Email / SMS Templates are now located within Company Settings

  • Accounting and Profitability are now combined into Accounting & Profitability

  • A new Workflow Automation category has been added for automation rules

This updated structure groups related configuration areas together and creates a more streamlined menu.

3. Company Settings: Renamed & Regrouped

Company Settings now includes updated naming and reorganized subcategories to better reflect what each section contains.

What’s new

  • Company is now labeled Company Details

  • Email / SMS Templates now appear in Company Settings

  • User- and communication-related items appear in a consolidated, consistent order:

    • User Management

    • User Application Licenses

    • Text Message Usage

    • SMS Campaigns

    • Social Media

This grouping ensures all company-wide and communication-related settings live in one place.

4. Estimates: All Estimate Configuration in One Place

The two separate sections (Estimate Lists and Estimate Settings) are now unified under Estimates.

Included subsections

  • Common

  • Custom Information Fields

  • Move & Room Sizes

  • Price Ranges

  • Cancellation Reasons

  • Inventory

  • Parking Options

  • Property Types

  • Regions

  • Service Types

  • Tags

This creates one unified space for configuration related to estimates, items, and supporting lists.

5. Tariff Settings: Organized Into Clear Categories

Tariff Settings now feature a structured hierarchy that aligns related pricing tools together. Categories are now grouped based on type and function so you can build or adjust your tariff from top to bottom.

Tariff configuration now follows a logical flow:

Core Setup → Labor →Transportation → Extras → Protection → Defaults

New Tariff Categories

  • Core/Global Setup

  • Core Labor Rates (new)

  • Transportation Rates

  • Add-ons / Extra Services

  • Protection

  • Defaults / Automations

What this provides

  • A more guided path for building or updating tariff structures

  • Categories that reflect how pricing is typically configured

  • A framework ready for future tariff features

This organization supports efficient navigation through tariff tools, from foundational setup through service-specific pricing.

6. NEW: Workflow Automation Category

A new Workflow Automation category has been added to house configuration for rule-based automations.

Now included

  • Follow-up Automation

  • Lead Routing Automation

These items were previously located under Sales and now live together under Automation Rules within the Workflow Automation category. This centralizes automation-focused tools in a single location.

7. Accounting & Profitability: Combined for Convenience

Two previously separate categories—Accounting and Profitability—are now combined into Accounting & Profitability, offering a single location for financial and profitability settings.

Included items

  • Common

  • Credit Card Fees

  • Deduction Reasons

  • Deposits

  • Job Discounts

  • Payment Types

  • Gross Profit Targets

  • Automatic Expense Rules

  • Manual Expense Categories

  • Estimated Profitability

  • Pre-authorization (new)

This unified category simplifies access to related financial configuration tools.

8. Forms & Documents: One Unified Location

The Forms & Documents section now includes all related form tools in one place after merging with Quote Form settings.

Now included

  • Document Library

  • Embedded Form

  • JavaScript Form

This consolidation creates a cohesive location for managing customer-facing forms and documents.

Summary

The updated Settings navigation enhances clarity, improves discoverability, and provides a flexible foundation for future enhancements. With an integrated search bar, streamlined categories, and consolidated sections, users can more efficiently locate and manage system settings.
