Written by Michelle Carone

The Marketing Overview page in SmartMoving provides insight into your company’s marketing performance and online reputation activity. By centralizing key metrics and trends, the Overview helps you understand how reviews, sentiment, and social activity are performing over time.

What Is the Marketing Overview?

The Marketing Overview is a dashboard within the Marketing module that displays high-level analytics related to:

  • Customer reviews and sentiment

  • Social media activity

  • Overall marketing performance trends

The data shown depends on whether you are subscribed to Smart Reputation. Accounts with Smart Reputation and more than one branch can also filter the dashboard by branch.

Accessing the Marketing Overview

To view the Marketing Overview:

  1. Navigate to the Marketing module

  2. Select Overview

The page opens with a snapshot of your current marketing and reputation activity.

If your account has Smart Reputation and more than one branch, a branch dropdown appears at the top of the page. The default selection is All branches, which shows company-wide data. Select a specific branch to view metrics for that location only.

Marketing Overview for Smart Reputation Subscribers

Customers with Smart Reputation enabled have access to a full suite of analytics and reporting tools.

These insights may include:

  • Reviews over time

  • Customer sentiment trends

  • Volume of social posts created through SmartMoving

  • Performance patterns across platforms

These metrics help you evaluate what’s working and identify opportunities for improvement.

Note: If you filter by branch, each block on the dashboard updates to reflect the selected branch's data only. Opportunities, leads, and reviews not assigned to a branch are excluded from a single-branch view. Select All branches to include all records.

Marketing Overview for Non-Smart Reputation Customers

Customers without Smart Reputation enabled can still access a limited version of the Marketing Overview.

This view provides:

  • A high-level snapshot of company-wide marketing activity

  • Reduced access to detailed metrics and trend analysis

Some data points may be restricted or unavailable without a Smart Reputation subscription. The branch filter is not available without Smart Reputation.

Filtering the Overview by Branch

Multi-branch accounts with Smart Reputation can use the branch dropdown to focus the dashboard on a single location.

  1. Locate the branch dropdown at the top of the Overview page.

  2. Click the dropdown and choose a branch from the list.

  3. Wait a moment for the dashboard to refresh. Every block on the page updates automatically.

To return to company-wide data, open the dropdown and select All branches.

Note: Single-branch accounts do not see the branch dropdown. The dashboard displays company-wide data automatically.

How the Filter Affects Each Block

When a specific branch is selected:

  • Metric tiles (new customers added, top-performing source, ROI, cost per lead, top crew member) reflect data from opportunities and reviews tied to the selected branch.

  • Recent activity shows reviews tied to the selected branch, and the unprocessed reviews counter updates to match.

  • Top lead sources filters to leads and opportunities tied to the selected branch.

  • Total reviews over time shows reviews from the selected branch only.

  • Reputation impact map displays the map for the selected branch. When All branches is selected, the primary branch's map is shown.

  • Review by sentiment shows sentiment for the selected branch's connected business. When All branches is selected, sentiment for the primary branch is shown.

  • Social postings by channel shows posts from the selected branch. When All branches is selected, posts from the entire account are shown.

  • Listings Analysis shows the listing for the selected branch. When All branches is selected, every listing in the account is displayed.

If the selected branch does not have a Google Business Profile or Facebook Business Page connected, the reputation-related blocks (Reputation impact map, Review by sentiment, Social postings by channel, and Listings Analysis) are hidden until the branch is connected.

Using Marketing Overview Data Effectively

The Marketing Overview is designed to support data-driven decision-making.

You can use this information to:

  • Track changes in customer sentiment over time

  • Monitor review volume and engagement

  • Evaluate consistency in social posting

  • Identify areas where automation or follow-up could improve results

Reviewing this data regularly helps ensure your marketing and reputation strategies stay aligned with business goals.

Best Practices for Reviewing Analytics

  • Check the Overview on a regular schedule to spot trends rather than single data points

  • Pair analytics with review and crew performance insights to get a complete picture

  • Start with All branches for a company-wide read, then drill into a specific branch when you spot a trend to investigate

  • Compare a branch view against All branches to see which locations are pulling the company average up or down

  • Check the unprocessed reviews counter in Recent activity after filtering by branch to surface reviews that need a reply for that location

  • If a reputation block is hidden when you filter to a branch, that branch likely needs a social account connected
