Overview
Smart Reputation brings reviews, listings, and social media into one place inside SmartMoving. Before you can use the full set of features, connect your business accounts and configure a handful of settings. This guide walks you through the setup in order so you can be up and running quickly.
All Smart Reputation setting pages live under Settings > Marketing.
Before You Start
Access to Settings > Marketing is required.
Have login credentials ready for the platforms you plan to connect, such as Google Business Profile, Facebook Business Page, or Instagram.
An active Smart Reputation subscription unlocks the full feature set. Customers without a subscription still have access to internal reviews and basic survey customization.
How To Do It
Step 1: Open Marketing Settings
Go to Settings in SmartMoving.
In the settings navigation, select Marketing. Every Smart Reputation setting page is listed under this section.
Step 2: Connect Your Business Accounts
To unlock the full functionality of Smart Reputation, you must connect at least one supported business account.
Under Marketing, select Manage Accounts.
Click Connect next to the platform you want to link, such as Google Business Profile or Facebook.
Sign in with that account's credentials and approve the permissions SmartMoving requests.
The account shows as Connected when the link is complete. Connected accounts unlock reviews, listings, and social features for that platform.
For platform-specific steps, see Connecting Google and Facebook Business Accounts and Connecting Instagram Accounts to SmartMoving.
Note: Instagram accounts can also be connected, but this process is completed by SmartMoving’s Customer Success team. Learn more here.
Step 3: Configure Review Settings
Review Settings is where you control how customer reviews are screened and how your team is alerted when new reviews arrive.
Under Marketing, select Review Settings.
On the Review Screening card, turn on screening and set your star threshold, subpar review reasons, auto-ticket creation, and positive follow-up email.
On the Review Notifications card, create or edit the notifications that alert your team when new reviews arrive.
For full details, see Review Screening in Smart Reputation and Review Reminders and Notifications.
Step 4: Configure Reply Settings
Reply Settings is where you manage auto-reply rules, reply templates, and AI tone and voice.
Under Marketing, select Reply Settings.
On the Auto-Reply Rules card, click Create Rule to set up a rule that posts template or AI replies to matching reviews.
On the Reply Templates card, click Create Template to save reusable replies.
Click the ✦ AI Tone & Voice button in the Auto-Reply Rules card header to adjust the tone sliders and brand personality tags that shape every AI reply.
For full details, see Setting Up Automated Review Replies and Reply Templates in Smart Reputation.
Step 5: Set Up Review Reminders
Under Marketing, select Review Reminders.
Turn on the reminders you want to send customers who have not completed their survey, and customize each template.
Step 6: Verify Your Business Listings
Under Marketing, select Listings.
Review the business information shown for each connected platform.
Update any fields that are out of date. Changes sync to connected platforms automatically.

Centralized inbox for Google, Facebook, and SmartMoving-only reviews
Auto-reply rules using templates or AI-generated responses
AI-powered review summaries and sentiment analysis
Social media post creation and scheduling
Listings management across connected platforms

Best Practices
Connect at least one public review platform (Google or Facebook) before turning on auto-reply rules so rules have public reviews to respond to.
Set your AI tone and voice before turning on any AI-based auto-reply rules. This keeps every AI reply on brand from the start.
Revisit your subpar review reasons quarterly so categories stay aligned with the issues your team sees.
