Overview
During a descriptive inventory in the Crew App, crew members use the Lot Details Drawer to enter lot information before inventory recording begins. This includes the tag color, lot number, and starting item number.
Before You Start
The Descriptive Inventory workflow must be active on the job.
To enable Lot # and Starting Item # auto-fill, barcode or QR labels must be generated with a Lot # specified. Scanning must also be enabled under Settings > Crew App > Descriptive Inventory.
How To Do It
The Lot Details Drawer opens automatically when a crew member creates a new lot.
Enter a Tag Color (optional). Tag colors help visually identify lots during the move.
Confirm or enter the Lot #. If barcode or QR scanning is enabled, this field may pre-fill from the most recent barcode batch.
Enter the Starting Item #. This is the item number for the first item in the lot. If scanning is enabled, this field may also pre-fill from the most recent barcode batch.
Tap Continue. Inventory recording begins.
Note: Crew members can edit any pre-filled values before tapping Continue.
Fields in the Drawer
When the Lot Details Drawer opens, crew members will see the following fields:
Tag Color β Optional. Used for visual identification during the move.
Lot # β Required. A unique identifier for the lot. May pre-fill from the most recent barcode batch when scanning is enabled.
Starting Item # β Required. The item number for the first item in this lot. May pre-fill from the most recent barcode batch when scanning is enabled.
Note: The screenshot above shows an example of the Lot Details Drawer with Lot # pre-filled and Tag Color listed as optional (no asterisk).
Lot # Auto-Fill (Scanning Accounts Only)
When Enable QR / Barcode Scanning is active under Settings > Crew App > Descriptive Inventory, the Lot # and Starting Item # fields may populate based on the most recent barcode batch generated.
The Starting Item # field defaults to the value entered during barcode label generation.
If no values were entered during label generation, both fields remain blank and require manual entry.
Crew members can edit any pre-filled values before proceeding.
