The stops panel of an estimate allows you to add, remove, and manage multiple stops including the origin, destination, and any additional stops in between.
Adding stops
Navigate to the job estimate page.
First, click the plus icon.
This button will automatically select a stop type based on the information missing from your stop list. The order for the plus button is
Add origin
Add destination
Add stop
For instance, if you have an origin but don’t have a destination, the plus button will prompt you to add a destination. If you have an origin and destination, the plus button will prompt you to add a stop between the origin and destination. You can add as many stops as desired.
Then, enter the stop address and click the matching suggested address.
Important: You must select an entry from the list of map results. If the address you entered does not have a match, click Custom Address to enter a custom address. Custom addresses will use the center of the postal code for any distance calculations.
Next, enter the property type, flights of stairs (if any) the movers will have to carry furniture, the walking distance between the truck and the front door, the parking type, and whether the location has an elevator.
Note: Stairs, walk distance and elevators will affect the amount of calculated labor time. To change how stairs, long walks and elevators affect job time calculations, navigate to Settings -> Estimate Settings -> Crew Capacity/Output or click here to go directly to the page.
Then, click Save.
Removing stops
First, click the delete icon.
Then, click Yes, proceed.
Note: If you remove a destination, the last stop added will automatically become the destination. In the future, you’ll be able to drag and drop the order of your stops, but you currently are not able to reorder stops in SmartMoving. To reorder your stops, you’ll have to delete the stops that are out of order and re-add them in the correct order.
Tracking route times
SmartMoving automatically calculates various distances on your route and provides them at the top of the Stops section.
RT: The total round-trip distance including the time and mileage it will take to go from the office to all of the listed stops and back to the office. The time calculation is determined by Google Maps and includes traffic estimations based on data from others who drive this route.
O -> D: The travel time and distance from the origin, through any stops to the destination
Travel: The travel time and distance from the office to the origin, and from the destination back to the office
Note: Your office/warehouse address automatically appears based on the address configured in your branch settings. This is the address your trucks should be leaving from and returning to. To update your office/warehouse address, navigate to Settings -> Company Settings > Branches or click here to go directly to the page.
