How to Use the Asset Library

Learn how to upload, manage, and use images and videos in the SmartMoving Asset Library to streamline social media post creation.

Overview

The Asset Library is a centralized place to store and manage images and videos for use in your social media posts. You can upload media, browse your collection, and select assets to use when creating a post, all without leaving SmartMoving.

The Asset Library is accessible from two places: the Socials main screen and the Post Editor.


Before You Start

  • You must have Smart Reputation access and at least one connected social account to create posts using library assets.

  • Review the file requirements below before uploading. Files that do not meet these requirements will not be saved.

  • File names that are very long may cause upload issues, rename files before uploading if needed.

How to Open the Asset Library

From the Socials main screen:

  1. Navigate to Marketing > Socials.

  2. Locate the Asset Library widget in the lower-right corner of the screen.

  3. Click the expand icon in the top-right corner of the widget to open the full Asset Library.

From the Post Editor:

  1. Open or create a post.

  2. Locate the Asset Library widget in the lower-right corner.

  3. Click the expand icon to open the full Asset Library in a modal.

To return to the Socials main screen, click Back to Socials in the top-left corner of the Asset Library, or click the X to close.


How to Upload Media

  1. Open the Asset Library.

  2. Click Upload Media in the top-right corner.

  3. In the file manager that opens, select one or more images or videos.

  4. Click Open to upload.

Uploaded assets are validated automatically. Any files with errors will not be saved, and an error message will indicate which files were not added.

Successfully uploaded assets appear in the library sorted by most recently added.

Note: Assets uploaded to the Asset Library are stored separately from images added directly to individual social posts. Deleting an asset from the library does not affect any posts that have already used it.


How to Delete Assets

  1. Open the Asset Library.

  2. Click on one or more images to select them.

  3. Click Delete in the top-right corner.

Note: Deleting an asset removes it from the library only. Previously published, scheduled, or drafted posts that included the asset are not affected.


How to Create a Social Post from the Asset Library

  1. Open the Asset Library.

  2. Click one or more assets to select them.

  3. Click Create social post. The Post Editor opens with the selected images attached to the post.

  4. Make any additional edits to the post, including adding or removing images, before publishing or scheduling.

💡SmartTip: You can select multiple images at once before clicking Create social post to attach them all to a single post in one step.


Viewing Asset Requirements

To review the file type, size, and dimension requirements for uploads, click View Asset Limit at the bottom of the Asset Library. A modal opens showing the full requirements for both images and videos.


Troubleshooting

An image I uploaded is not appearing in the library.

Confirm the file name is not excessively long. Rename the file and try uploading again.

The Upload Media button is not responding.

Refresh the page and try again. If the issue persists, contact SmartMoving Support.

The Delete or Create social post buttons are not visible.

These buttons appear only when at least one asset is selected. Click an image to select it.
