Overview
The Inventory tab on a storage account includes a search bar that lets you find stored items by container number or location. You can search by any location field, including Aisle, Row, Shelf, Warehouse, or Zone. Partial matches are supported, so you do not need to enter the full value to see results.
Before You Start
Available to accounts using SmartMoving Storage. Requires admin role.
If you don't see this option, contact SmartMoving Support.
How To Do It
Open a storage account and go to the Inventory tab.
Locate the search bar at the top of the inventory list.
Type a container number or a location value such as an aisle name, row, shelf, warehouse, or zone.
SmartMoving returns all inventory items that match your search.
If no items match your search term, the message "No items match your search or filters." appears.
Note: Partial matches are supported across all searchable fields. For example, entering part of a container ID or the beginning of an aisle name returns relevant results.
Best Practices
To find all items in a specific warehouse section, search by zone or aisle to pull up that area without scrolling the full inventory list.
Enter a partial value. You do not need the full container number or location name to see matching results.
Combine the search with the status, room, or container filters on the Inventory tab to narrow results further.
