Each warehouse can be assigned a unique storage rate / tariff. Your storage rate will determine the default pricing structure you will charge for your monthly recurring storage, warehouse handling, valuation, etc.

Note: Only one rate/tariff can be associated with a warehouse at a time.

Configuring storage rates / tariff

Navigate to Settings -> Storage -> Storage Rates, or click here to go directly to the page.

First, click Add Storage Rate.

Next, enter a name for the storage rate / tariff, and select the default rate and method for each of the following:

  • SIT Recurring Storage: Select By CWT (per hundredweight), By Container, or By Flat Rate, and enter the corresponding rate

  • Permanent Recurring Storage: Select By CWT, By Container, or By Flat Rate, and enter the corresponding rate.

  • Warehouse Handling: Select By CWT, By Container, or By Hour, and enter the corresponding rate

  • Valuation: Select By CWT or By Flat Rate, and enter the corresponding rate

Note: Only complete the rates for the rate type you will use. For example, if you use CWT for SIT Recurring Storage, you do not need to fill in the rates for Container and Flat Rate.

Then, click Create.

When you quote storage, your default rates and methods will be automatically selected. However, you have the ability to modify the rate or method when creating the estimate if a customer needs a different rate for their move.
