A move's volume and weight are critical because they are used to calculate the size and cost of the move. When you open any opportunity, you can click the Estimate tab to view or update a move's volume and weight.

From here, you can choose how to calculate the move's volume and weight by clicking the Calculation settings.

There are three ways you can determine the move's volume and weight:

  • Move Size: Use standard volume and weight for various move sizes and additional rooms that you set in your settings. For example, you can set a 1-bedroom apartment to 432 cuft and 3024 lbs. Then you can add extra rooms like a garage as applicable. This is a great choice for a quick hourly estimate, as it gives you a close ballpark volume and weight without the need to complete a full inventory. This is the default option.

  • Inventory: For more accuracy, you can complete a full inventory by entering in the key items from every room to generate the cubic feet and weight. You can also send a link to the customer to have them complete the inventory themselves.

  • Manual: If you know how much the volume and weight of the move is, you can manually enter the cubic feet and pounds.

Note: You can switch methods at any time.

To select this option, set up your move sizes in your settings. Then complete the following steps:

  2. Click the Move Size dropdown and select the correct move size.
