You can add full packing with labor to an estimate when your company is providing both the materials and the packing labor. However, if the customer wants to pack their own items but purchase their packing materials from your company, you can charge for the materials without including labor fees.

Sell packing materials only

  1. Open an opportunity and click the Estimate tab.

  2. In the Charges section, click Add Charge.

  3. Click Materials.

  4. In the Materials column, enter the quantity of each material you're providing to the customer.

Note: If you completed an inventory for the move, the Inventory column shows the number of boxes that were estimated for the move. In this case, you can click the Sync dropdown and select Sync inventory to duplicate the numbers in the Inventory column into the Materials column.

  5. If applicable, add a discount.

Note: Click Change to Amount or Change to Percent to change the discount calculation.

  6. Click Add New.
