Before you can begin managing reviews, automations, listings, and social media in SmartMoving’s Online Reputation Management (ORM) tool, there are a few key setup steps to complete.

This article walks you through what’s required to get started and what becomes available once your accounts are connected.

Before You Begin

To use ORM features that involve public reviews, listings, or social media posting, you’ll need access to the appropriate business accounts (such as Google Business Profile or Facebook). Make sure you have login credentials or admin access available before starting setup.

Step 1: Access the Marketing Module

All ORM features live inside SmartMoving’s Marketing module.

To get started:

  1. Navigate to the Marketing module

  2. Open Settings within Marketing

From here, you’ll be able to connect accounts and configure ORM-related settings.

Step 2: Connect Your Business Accounts

To unlock the full functionality of ORM, you must connect at least one supported business account.

Supported Connections

  • Google Business Profile

  • Facebook Business Page

These connections allow SmartMoving to:

  • Pull in public reviews

  • Sync replies across platforms

  • Manage listings

  • Publish and schedule social media posts

You can connect these accounts from:
Settings > Marketing > Manage Accounts

Note: Instagram accounts can also be connected, but this process is completed by SmartMoving’s Customer Success team. Learn more here.

Step 3: Confirm Successful Connections

Once an account is connected:

  • The account will display as Connected in Manage Accounts

  • Your business name will appear next to the platform

  • ORM features tied to that platform will become available automatically

You can repeat this process to connect additional accounts or platforms.

Step 4: Review Available ORM Features

After setup, you’ll have access to ORM tools based on your subscription level.

Available to All Customers (Marketing Module)

  • View internal SmartMoving reviews

  • Reply to internal reviews via email

  • Track average crew internal ratings

  • Receive internal review notifications

  • Customize internal surveys with review screening tools

Additional Features for ORM Subscribers

  • Public review inbox (Google and Facebook)

  • Automated review replies and templates

  • AI-powered review summaries and reply suggestions

  • Social media post creation and scheduling

Step 5: Customize Your ORM Settings

To get the most out of ORM, SmartMoving recommends reviewing and configuring these settings early:

  • Auto Reply Rules – automate responses to reviews

  • Reply Templates – create consistent, on-brand messaging

  • Notifications – alert your team when new reviews arrive

  • Review Reminders – encourage customers to leave feedback

  • Listings – verify business information accuracy

Each of these features has its own setup guide available in the Help Center.
