All invoiced charges associated with storage billing can be configured for taxation.

Configuring tax items & rates

Navigate to Settings -> Storage -> Warehouses (or click here to go directly to the page).

First, click the menu icon for the desired warehouse and select Tax Settings.

Then, enter the applicable sales tax rate.

Next, under Taxed Charges, select the tax line items that should be taxed.

Then, click Update.

Once updated, any invoice generated for the selected warehouse after the change was made will be taxed.

Taxable items

  • Monthly SIT storage: Any monthly recurring SIT storage charge types (e.g., per container, per CWT, flat rate)

  • Monthly permanent storage: Any monthly recurring permanent storage charge types (e.g., per container, per CWT, flat rate)

  • Oversize item charges: Large items that will not fit into a container

  • Vault access fees: Any invoiced one-time labor charges for vault access

  • Warehouse handling fees: Any invoiced warehouse handling fees charged one time per vault, per CWT, or hourly
