Our mobile crew application allows for your crew members to manage a job from their smartphone or tablet. The application is available for download from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
How to Grant Mobile Application Access
First, you will begin by navigating to Settings -> Dispatch -> Crew Members.
Now, select the crew member to whom you wish to grant access to the mobile application, we recommend granting access to the mobile application to your crew foreman.
Once a crew member has been selected, enable to the toggle switch next to the option to Allow user to use the Crew application.
Note: The toggle switch will be green once enabled.
Then, you will need to enter the following details.
Email: This email will be used as the login for the crew member from the mobile application. This email cannot be an email that has been used for another user, it must be unique to this crew member.
Auto Generate Password: Do you want SmartMoving to auto-generate a password for your crew member? If so, checkmark the box and an autogenerated password will be emailed to the crew member once the changes have been saved.
If this box is unchecked, you will be able to enter a custom password for the crew member to use when logging into the crew application.
Send Welcome Email: Email the crew member a welcome email with instructions on downloading the application, login credentials, and a training video about using the application.
Lastly, click Save to grant access to the mobile application to the crew member and to send the welcome email and autogenerated password to the crew member, if those items have been selected.
Note: A crew member must be assigned to the job from the dispatch module in order for the job to populate on the crew application for them. The job must be published in order for it to populate on the application.
